The inspection, our core business, typically kicks off with you putting on your swim trunks and sliding down the water slide. Not just once, but maybe even ten times. You'll meticulously inspect the slide, ensuring it meets all applicable standards and requirements. This includes everything from the logbook and instruction boards to the steel structure, flange connections, slide channels, pump installations, walkways, and much more. After inspection, your other duties emerge, ranging from one-time, small-scale maintenance tasks to complete renovations. This includes cleaning, repairing, delaminating, coating, theming, converting, and installing light and sound systems. Sometimes you'll work alongside partners, and other times independently, but always with a focus on quality, sustainability, and the safety of end-users (often young children).
You start your working day with a detailed inspection plan, ensuring all tools and equipment are ready. As the day progresses, you will undertake various tasks, from sliding down the attractions to test them, to carrying out necessary repairs and maintenance. You might collaborate with colleagues or partners on larger projects, ensuring every job is completed to the highest standards.
