Are you looking for a part-time position in a dynamic and highly international work environment? Optiver is looking for a Procurement Working Student to help enable our technology strategy while ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The Procurement team drives strategic initiatives that ensure we source goods and services efficiently and at the most competitive prices. We balance profitability, sustainability, and a stable production environment to support Optiver’s long-term growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Procurement working student you will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, support in purchasing initiatives, spend reconciliation, and optimizing procurement processes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring procurement operates smoothly and continually adds value to the business. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with both business and technical aspects of a leading market maker, providing valuable procurement experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Working directly with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to purchase goods and services in a timely fashion, ensuring we are paying best price and are abiding by internal processes and controls.
• Act as a main contact for internal stakeholders on the status of purchase requests and approvals.
• Monitor supply chain and delivery estimates for business-critical items.
• Act as the first line of support for invoicing discrepancies, and purchase-to-pay process issues.
• Provide support to the team in managing international logistics operations.

We are looking for a proactive and well-structured student to join our Procurement team on a part-time basis. As a team member, you will gain insight into our core procurement processes with coaching from experienced colleagues. Working in our team, you will get a taste of what it is like to work in an international and fast-paced environment.

WHO YOU ARE

• Currently studying Finance, Accounting, Economics or an equivalent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Available for a minimum of 12 hours per week (flexible days).
• Proven record of academic excellence.
• A detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
