Are you a data modeller who thrives on shaping complex data landscapes? Do you want to lead large-scale transformations by defining the right data foundations?
As a Senior Data Modelling Specialist at Valcon, you are the bridge between business and technology. You make a difference by defining and driving data modelling practices across projects and clients. With your deep expertise, you design high-quality conceptual and logical models that support data platforms, BI, reporting, and advanced analytics.
You understand what your team needs to successfully deliver end-to-end solutions — and you guide them there. You bring structure, define standards, and support data governance initiatives for data models and across data products.
As a Senior Data Modelling Specialist, you own data modelling in complex environments. You align data definitions across departments, facilitate stakeholder discussions, and develop and maintain modelling frameworks. You also coach colleagues, review modelling work, and contribute to Valcon’s thought leadership in the data modelling domain.
Among your responsibilities will be the following:
- Lead the creation and implementation of enterprise-level enterprise, conceptual, logical or physical data models.
- Drive modelling standards and best practices across projects and domains.
- Act as a sparring partner on data governance, definitions, and quality.
- Facilitate sessions to define key data entities and relationships with stakeholders.
- Align with architects, analysts and engineers to integrate models into scalable solutions.
- Coach and support mid-level and junior consultants in modelling techniques and tooling.
- Help develop Valcon’s internal modelling frameworks, best practices and solutions.
- Be an active contributor to the Valcon modelling community.
- Personal development: a tailor-made growth path with trainings, courses, certifications and mentoring by experienced colleagues.
- An innovative work environment: collaborate with a team of experts pushing boundaries in data, technology, and consulting.
- Immediate impact and responsibility: you’ll make a difference for our clients from day one and are entrusted with responsibilities that will bring out the best in you.
- Inspiring work culture: a supportive, flexible, and no-nonsense environment that fosters your growth and fully allows you to be yourself.
- Competitive employment benefits, including bonuses and expense allowance.
- A company car or mobility budget.
- A workplace that prioritizes and respects your work-life balance (for example by offering you the option of taking a sabbatical or increasing the number of holidays per year).
- An affordable sports membership that allows you to participate in 50 different sports offered by over 10,000 partners.
- A vibrant community that organizes both professional and social events.
Has the above sparked your interest and are you ready to join our innovative and impactful environment? And do our core values – Together, Joy, Curious, Can do, and Integrity – resonate with you?
