Do you have a passion for good food and enjoy working in the kitchen? Would you like to work during the day and have your evenings and weekends free? For our restaurant at Odido in The Hague, we are looking for an enthusiastic kitchen assistant/assistant chef who, together with the kitchen team, will prepare tasty and fresh dishes. You will support the chefs in the preparation and ensure that our guests are surprised every day with a delicious lunch.
As a kitchen assistant/assistant chef, you are essential in the kitchen. You ensure that everything is well prepared and that the kitchen runs smoothly.
- You assist with the preparation of dishes (cutting vegetables, making sandwiches, preparing salads, etc.);
- You ensure that work areas are clean and prepared;
- You help serve meals and assist where necessary.
- You work according to HACCP guidelines and monitor hygiene and food safety.
- You mainly work Monday to Thursday between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (exact working hours to be agreed), with occasional support at parties or events.
- You have a passion for food and enjoy working with fresh products.
- You are a real go-getter who likes to work with colleagues.
- Experience in the kitchen is a plus, but your motivation is even more important to us.
- You work neatly, in a structured manner, and have an eye for hygiene.
- You preferably speak and understand Dutch or English and preferably live in (the area of) The Hague.
- A salary of €2371 to €2519 gross per month based on 38 hours, with employment conditions in line with the Hospitality collective labor agreement part B, matching your experience.
- 8% vacation pay, 25 vacation days, and pension build-up.
