Your Department

As an Operational Supplier Coordinator, you will be part of the Global Spare Parts team within the Business Unit Supply. The Spare Parts department is globally responsible for the portfolio management, sales, planning, ordering and delivery of Vanderlande’s material handling spare parts. The department is divided into three sub-teams:

  • Logistics – responsible for material planning, ordering, operational supplier management, warehousing, and outbound logistics of spare parts. You will be part of this team.

  • Sales and Portfolio Management – responsible for item control, portfolio management, and sales order management/support.

  • Strategy and Transformation – focusing on developing strategy and executing strategy related projects and changes

Your Position

As an Operational Supplier Coordinator, you will report to the Group Leader Material Planning & Operational Supplier Management. Your team is responsible for:

  • Reviewing specific customer demand and system-generated forecasts, converting them into Purchase Order (PO) proposals, managing inventory levels,

  • Creating, validating, and monitoring POs through to settlement, and supporting the Warehouse Inbound team in case of issues,

  • Managing the short-term Materials Availability Performance of our suppliers, ensuring they deliver and execute in accordance with existing agreements. 

Overall, the team ensures that we have the right items on the stock and on time, enabling timely delivery to customers—ultimately having a significant impact on customer satisfaction and loyalty.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

As an Operational Supplier Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the Logistics team. In this position, you will collaborate with your colleagues to manage the short-term Materials Availability Performance of our suppliers, ensuring they deliver and execute in accordance with existing agreements.


Your responsibilities  
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Coordinators, Operational Buyers (located in VOICE India), Warehouse Inbound team, Portfolio Management team and Sourcing

  • Help setting up standard processes for the role and drive process improvements afterwards

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier related questions 

  • Participate/Lead the supplier performance management calls

  • Manage master data for your supplier categories, ensuring smooth supply chain operations, and take a central role in managing supplier relationships

  • Monitor and manage supplier exceptions (date changes, quality issues, logistical issues, etc.)

  • Coach and train suppliers to improve their maturity level and ensure the correct use of Vanderlande's systems, processes, and tools. 

  • Monitor and manage Supplier Delivery Performance (RLIP/CLIP1/CLIP2)

Your profile 
  • HBO or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent)  

  • 5-8 years relevant experience in logistics / supply chain management / sourcing

  • Experience in material planning and with ERP systems, preferably JDE/Oracle

  • Having experience in Lean, Visual Performance Management, Problem Solving tools

  • Pro-active and result oriented

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a systematic and efficient manner

  • Good command of English, both verbal and written

Your Team 
As a Senior Operational Supplier Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the Operational Supplier Management team (OSM). In this position, you will collaborate with your colleagues to manage the short-term Materials Availability Performance of our suppliers, ensuring they deliver and execute in accordance with existing agreements. 

The team consists of members who bring valuable experience to the table, yet they are still on their journey of growth and development. We are looking for a seasoned professional like you to provide guidance and mentorship, helping to elevate the entire team. Your expertise will be key in fostering collaboration and creating a strong, cohesive unit. Read on to discover what this exciting opportunity has in store. 

Your responsibilities  

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Supply Chain Management, liaising with both suppliers and internal customers. 

  • Actively participate in cross-functional procurement teams, representing OSM, and contribute to supplier improvement projects alongside the Sourcing Manager and Quality Engineer. 

  • Manage master data for your supplier categories, ensuring smooth supply chain operations, and take a central role in managing supplier relationships in partnership with the Sourcing department. 

  • Proactively oversee a portfolio of items, analyzing supply trends and translating them into concrete actions to address potential issues, optimize replenishment strategies, and enhance logistics. 

  • Coach and train suppliers to improve their maturity level and ensure the correct use of Vanderlande's systems, processes, and tools. 

  • Drive process improvements using LEAN methodologies such as 4C/A3/8D problem-solving techniques and participate in departmental projects. 

  • Analyze and report on Materials Availability, understanding the logic of Materials Requirements Planning and its dependencies with other supply chain processes. Regularly update key interfaces on status, progress, impact, and performance. 

Your profile 

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent)  

  • 5+ years relevant experience in Procurement & Supply Chain 

  • Experience in material planning and with ERP systems, preferably JDE/Oracle

This position offers a competitive salary range between € 3.600 and € 4.400 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance) and the ability to grow. On top of your fixed salary, you’ll receive the following secondary benefits:
