Within the Operational Excellence (OPEX) department, you will work on optimizing transport and logistics processes. You will ensure that goods and packages reach their destination efficiently, quickly, and correctly. In doing so, you will be a crucial link between internal departments, carriers (such as DHL, DPD, UPS), and customers.
You will assist in the development and implementation of new transport solutions and ensure that the Transport Management System (TMS) functions correctly and remains up to date. You will use this system to set shipping methods, monitor transport flows, and resolve any operational disruptions.
In addition, you will answer questions from colleagues and customers, handle damage or loss claims, and actively work to improve processes. You will analyze the performance of carriers and contribute ideas for optimization. You will also assist in preparing reports (such as KPIs) and contribute to price requests and new customer requests.
In short: you will combine operational tasks with analytical insight and customer-focused action within a department that continuously strives for improvement and efficiency.

Assisting in setting up new transport solutions
Handling daily questions from customers, carriers, and TMS
Maintaining and configuring TMS Maya, setting up and updating shipping methods
Arranging and coordinating transports
Resolving operational questions
Handling daily files and escalating damage and loss claims
Participating in conference calls and operational evaluation meetings with carriers and other suppliers
Initiating improvements and supporting implementation, both internally and at the customer’s site
Preparing monthly KPI reports for transport
Assessing carrier performance and raising any concerns with the Logistics and Transport Manager
Supporting the sales and pricing departments with new customer requests
Assisting with the preparation of routing matrices and updating transport reports

Gevraagd

Experience with TMS (such as Maya, Metapack, Consignor, etc.) is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Experience with parcel carriers such as UPS, DPD, DHL, etc.
Education and/or experience in Transport and Logistics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good time management and organizational skills
Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation – desirable, but not mandatory
Proficient with PCs – Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a dynamic work environment
