Business Analyst in Strategy Planning team

We are seeking a Business Analyst who excels in both business understanding and data management. In this role, 80% of your focus will be on understanding and improving business processes, while the remaining 20% will involve working with data—analyzing it, managing it, and using tools like Power BI and SQL to deliver actionable insights.

• Business Analysis (80%):
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand key processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data-related projects.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our business operations and ensure that data initiatives align with strategic goals.

• Data Management and Analysis (20%):
  • Use Power BI and SQL to analyze data, create reports, and build dashboards that support business decision-making.
  • Manage and maintain data quality, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all reports and insights.
  • Learn and adapt to new data tools and technologies as needed to meet business needs.
  • Work with the IT and data teams to ensure the availability and integrity of data sources.

• Business Acumen:
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to map and optimize them.
  • Ability to align data initiatives with business objectives and communicate the impact of data-driven decisions.
    
• Analytical Skills:
  • Proficiency in analyzing data to extract meaningful insights that support business strategies.
  • Experience in identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities within data sets.
    
• Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with Power BI and SQL is preferred, with the ability to learn and manage these tools as required.
  • Basic understanding of data modeling and database management is a plus.
    
• Communication and Collaboration:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into clear business recommendations.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
    
• Educational Background and Experience:
  • Holds a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or possesses equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in a business analyst role with a focus on both business processes and data analysis.
    
• Location Requirement:
  • Preferably seeking candidates who are already located in the Netherlands.
