We are looking for an experienced Senior Calculator E&I to strengthen our engineering team in the industrial sector. In this role, you will take ownership of developing precise and well-founded cost estimates for complex electrical and instrumentation projects. Our team within the Sustainable Energy & Grids business unit is dedicated to the energy supply of the future. Here, the energy transition and digital transformation come together. Whether it involves integrating sustainably generated energy, implementing an Energy Management System for Smart Grids, or electrifying transport and logistics, our team of independent experts works daily to bring projects to life. Operating nationwide from our offices in Dordrecht and Zaandam, we undertake various medium- and high-voltage projects. We help clients connect battery storage systems and solar parks, transition to electric mobility, and more. Our services include consulting, design, implementation, and maintenance.

As a Senior Calculator E&I, you are responsible for preparing cost calculations and estimates for a wide range of industrial electrical and instrumentation projects. You will translate technical specifications and design documents into accurate and competitive cost models, considering the specific phase and requirements of each project.

Your role includes assessing technical feasibility, identifying potential risks, and developing cost-effective solutions. You will maintain close contact with engineers, project managers, and suppliers to collect the information necessary for precise calculations.

• Prepare cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Advise on calculation strategy and ensure consistency in cost estimation methods.
• Perform detailed and conceptual estimates depending on project maturity.
• Identify, analyze, and quantify project risks and opportunities.
• Request and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate closely with other disciplines to ensure integrated project calculations.
• Contribute to the development of standardized calculation tools and cost databases.
• Support management and project teams with budget and pricing information.

• MBO or HBO degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Several years of experience as a Calculator, Cost Engineer, Work Planner, or Project Engineer in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I).
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards such as NEN 1010, NEN 3140, and preferably ATEX.
• Proven experience in preparing estimates and budgets independently.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess and mitigate project risks.
• Skilled in financial aspects of project delivery, including rates and norms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Accurate, structured, and able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
