As a (Senior) Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of innovative vessels, tailoring standard ship models to meet unique client requirements and advancing new ship types for the evolving maritime sector. You will work as part of a skilled engineering team while guiding subcontractors in delivering high-quality engineering packages.

• Developing designs, specifications, and detailed engineering drawings in line with established standards and procedures;
  
• Registering and archiving project designs, documentation, and technical data;
  
• Designing and integrating steel outfitting and structural components, including hull doors and stairways;
  
• Creating construction plans, deck layouts, and related technical drawings;
  
• Conducting calculations for weights, stability, and structural integrity;
  
• Performing feasibility studies and risk analyses during early design stages;
  
• Preparing order lists and technical specifications to support procurement activities;
  
• Supporting approval processes with clients, classification societies, and regulatory authorities;
  
• Coordinating outsourced engineering tasks with external subcontractors.

• An intermediate degree in the field of mechanical engineering;
  
• Around 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in a similar engineering role
  
• Strong communication skills;
  
• A genuine interest in innovation and an open mindset to adopting new technologies;
  
• Experience with software packages like AudoCAD, Rhino, and NupasCadmatic, to which experience with Maxsurf or Siemens NX would be a plus;
  
• A team player and result-focused mindset, effectiveness at planning and organizing, and the willingness to learn new skills;
  
• Proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken;
  
• Prior work experience in the Netherlands or the eligibility to work in the Netherlands;
  
• Availability to work 32 to 40 hours a week.

• A gross salary of € 3850 to € 4500 per month;
  
• At least 30 days of annual leave;
