Senior Technician – Vestas Turbines Arnhem • Darwin Recruitment

NB: For this role we are only considering technicians who are living in the Netherlands, with a valid Dutch working permit such as an EU citizenship. We cannot provide visa sponsorship.

This client is currently expanding its service operations in the Netherlands and is looking to hire wind turbine technicians for the Arnhem-Apeldoorn region. The biggest challenge? Building a high-performing local team that can maintain and repair large-scale wind turbines while upholding strict safety and quality standards. You’ll be part of a pioneering effort to shape the future of wind energy in this region.

I’m looking for someone who:

• Holds at least an MBO-3 or MBO-4 diploma in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field (or equivalent work experience).
• Has at least 3 years of experience working on servicing wind turbines. It’s essential to have experience working on servicing Vestas wind turbines.
• Is certified in NEN 3140 and 3840 (or willing to obtain these).
• Speaks and writes English fluently.
• Possesses a valid driver’s license (B).
• Is physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
• Has knowledge of converters or is eager to learn.
• Is solution-oriented, independent, and a strong team player.

Who is interested in:

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbines.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical faults.
• Replacing major components such as gearboxes and generators.
• Following strict safety procedures and standards.
• Documenting work activities and incidents.
• Supporting inspections, root cause analyses, and retrofit projects.
• Participating in weekend and on-call shifts (on a rotating schedule).
