Are you an experienced professional with a profound understanding of capital management and a passion for the insurance industry? We are looking for a dynamic (Senior) Balance Sheet Manager to join our strong team. As (Senior) Balance Sheet Manager you have the opportunity to work on strategic projects in a dynamic environment together with your highly knowledgeable and driven colleagues.

We are Athora Netherlands, an insurance company with the well-known brands Zwitserleven and Reaal. We are mainly involved in pensions and life insurance in the Dutch market. What are you going to do?
Capital Management is responsible within Athora Netherlands for all capital management, balance sheet optimization and reinsurance activities. These include amongst others strategic asset allocation, review of investment proposals from capital point of view, asset-liability management, hedging of different market risks exposures, corporate finance activities, bond issuances, capital model development, capital and funding projections, longevity and other types of reinsurance, supporting growth initiatives. In the team there are and will be many interesting topics to work on, opportunities to grow and collaborate with colleagues throughout our company.
We are continuously developing our team and company in various areas. These initiatives are revolving around more frequent monitoring of our market risks exposures and our capital forecasts, around bringing sustainability into our strategic asset allocation, around managing longevity risk, just to name a few.
Depending on your interest and expertise, you will be supporting/leading these initiatives. You will have the room to make choices together with your colleagues in order to bring the best out of yourself.

What do we ask from you?
A Master degree in Econometrics, Actuarial Science or other quantitative studeis
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including knowledge of Solvency II
Good communication skills both in Dutch and English; there are non-Dutch speakers in the team
Experience in working in multidisciplinary environment

Salary per month: based on CLA scale 8, the range is € 6.881 to € 9.175 based on 36 hours.
