Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Digital & Technology Project Lead (Contractor) to join our R&D Process Development team in Leiden. This role is central to our digital transformation journey, focusing on lab data connectivity and digital data capture solutions.

You will lead and execute two predefined, high-impact projects:

1. Connecting lab systems to a data historian through cross-functional collaboration.
2. Implementing a digital platform for capturing lab data within our facilities.

This is a hybrid role combining project leadership (40%) and hands-on technical execution (60%), ideal for candidates who are both strategic and technically proficient.

• Lead digital transformation projects from planning to execution.
• Collaborate with IT, Execution Systems, Quality, R&D, and Engineering teams.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications.
• Execute technical tasks including system connectivity, data integration, and platform deployment.
• Act as point of contact for cybersecurity and data integrity assessments.
• Perform gap analyses and initiate mitigation actions.
• Serve as technical system owner for digital platforms.
• Create and review project documentation and validation reports.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in digital technology, systems connectivity, or data management.
• Strong understanding of lab automation, data visualization, and analytics platforms.
• Experience in pharma or GxP/GLP environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and data integrity (can be developed on the job).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Duration: 1-year contractor role with potential for extension.
• Working model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
• One-year contract with the intention to offer a permanent contract afterward.
