• Service- and component-oriented architectures;
• Design patterns;
• Network and telecom protocols (e.g., IP, email, SIP, applications, 2G/3G/4G/5G);
• Enterprise Linux (RHEL/CentOS 7, Ubuntu)
• Monitoring tools such as Nagios Networking: TCP/IP
• Databases: Postgress/SQL/Oracle Security (system hardening, network security, etc.);
• Docker containers and Apache Cassandra Configuration management: Ansible / Puppet / Chef / SaltStack
• Scripting: Bash, Python (Unit) testing of your own software and peer reviews;

1. Participate in a client project team, collaborate, and contribute to the smooth running of projects;
2. Implement solution-specific software (primarily in Java) and compile it for the client environment;
3. Assemble and deliver the software in the client environment; Install, integrate, and test the solution in the client environment;
4. Support colleagues in the Sales department in preparing client quotes;
5. Support Customer Support with your knowledge of the solutions;
6. Support the Customer Support department with your knowledge of the client solutions;
7. Participate in the Watch Desk, providing 24/7 on-call support (on a rotation basis, once every five weeks, meaning a maximum of twice a year).

Gevraagd

1. You speak, read and write fluent English (if you can speak fluent Dutch, that is a bonus);
2. You hold a higher professional education (HBO) degree in IT or have equivalent experience in this role;
3. You have at least two years of experience as a Software Engineer;
4. You can independently design and implement Java components in collaboration with architects;
5. You are willing to travel abroad to visit clients (a few times per year, but not frequently if necessary);
6. You are innovative, flexible, proactive,have strong communication skills, are customer-focused, highly independent, and collaborative
