The function of IT specialist Connectivity is situated within Distributed Services (DS) in the Telecom department, specifically the sub-department Connectivity. DS is part of the Group Organization of Air France KLM (AFKL).

DS is responsible for delivering agreed ICT services to the business where the goal is to realize the optimal and efficient operation of the (complex) ICT network infrastructure. The availability and performance must meet the set requirements and the operation must also be realized cost-efficiently. Within AFKL IT, Distributed Services department, Connectivity team is in charge of the following activities:

• Lan Services Family; Delivery off local area network infrastructure services
• Wi-Fi Services Family; Delivery of Campus specific Wi-Fi Infrastructure services
• Mobility (Cellular-data) Family; Delivery of Campus specific cellular data services
• Connected Object Family; Delivery IOT sensor and gateway services
• Connected Aircraft Family; Delivery infrastructure service on aircraft (airborne and on-ground)

The activity of the department Telecom Connectivity is transversal, working with all Business and IT departments within AFKL and is largely internationally oriented.

Working Context: The IT specialist will be working in the connectivity team that consist of people with IT and/or networking background. The team is located in Netherlands and France. You’ll be reporting to the manager Telecom Connectivity and or Service Operational Manager (SOM) for connectivity and will be working from Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities: As IT specialist you are responsible to RUN the common IT services and provide technical expertise and support to particular request. Scope is the infrastructural LAN / WIFI and data mobile domains and consists mainly of corporate assets.

• You will be responsible for daily operations (mainly 2nd/3rd line) of Change, Problem, and Incident and request management.
• You will participate in small business projects and participate in small technical projects.
• Realizing adjustments of the ICT infrastructure services is part of your job: design, engineer, develop, install, configure, transfer to deployment, advice SOM (Agile/Scrum: Product Owner), document and maintain procedures.
• Contribute and execute to internal improvement process. Contribute to CI’s. Help with analysis and solving problems.
• Analyze opportunities, propose solutions to achieve synergy on AFKL Telecom solutions.
• Design, develop, maintain and support the development environment for the DS & OPS Product Teams. Who are we looking for You are an IT technical expert, you like challenges, innovation.

• You are innovative, you can run small technical projects, evaluate architecture impacts and make proposals for decision making.
• The position requires to be proactive, to bring a technical vision and to be able to learn new technologies. The sense of service to the customer and respect of commitments are essential to the success of the mission.
• The way of working is based on Agile/Scrum developing into a SAFe way of working.
• Experience with Cisco
• You will be working in a dynamic team and working with both Dutch and France colleagues but also have to interact with specialist form vendors. Both LAN and WiFi service in Amsterdam are fully outsourced services to major vendor/suppliers in the Netherlands. Flexibility and adoption skills are needed. You are social, eager to learn, plan and organize, analytical and like to work in a team.
