You’ll become part of a team where precision, collaboration, and innovation are key to every project.The RoleAs a Technical Specialist Functional Description, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, structure, and consistency of equipment descriptions within large-scale vessel projects.You’ll follow defined internal processes to establish and validate functional naming conventions in line with project-specific requirements and German naval standards (BV Heft C1-242/0-3041 – STBA). Working closely with system owners and engineering teams, you’ll ensure that all deliverables are technically correct, clearly documented, and meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, your main responsibilities will include:• Apply and maintain internal naming conventions and procedures based on engineering input and required project output.• Validate and document equipment descriptions and functional data in line with technical and naval standards.• Collaborate closely with system owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure full alignment of deliverables.• Organize and prioritize your workload effectively, identifying and communicating any technical or documentation issues.• Contribute to process improvements and maintain structured documentation for future reference.• Support audits and reviews, ensuring that all system descriptions are traceable, consistent, and compliant with regulations.Functie-eisen
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:• Educational background: Degree in Naval Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.• Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of naval vessel systems and related documentation standards.• Language skills: Good command of written and spoken German naval terminology and English.• Software skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and experience working with structured documentation systems.• Work approach: Proactive, organized, and flexible mindset with the ability to manage changing priorities.• Availability: Willingness to travel occasionally (1–2 short trips per month).• Soft skills: Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.•Requirements:o Permanent EU citizenship and passport (mandatory due to project restrictions).o Candidates with non-EU citizenship or temporary work visas are not eligible.Arbeidsvoorwaarden
