In this exciting role you will report to the Director Finance Projects & Operations and work closely with the Group Finance team in Rotterdam. You will focus on Supply Chain (and Procurement) and will have a global scope, supporting the regions: Europe, North America and Australia. You will provide finance support to one of our important strategic pillars: Operational Excellence.

The position

The exciting part about this role is that you will our new ‘why finder’ for supply chain (and procurement) of Refresco. An important element of the role will be focused on supporting the Operational Excellence journey we are working on. You are responsible for financial analysis of the global operations and act as a business partner to the Operations teams in the regions. Together with the team you will guide the central operations organization in setting smart objectives, key priorities, and supporting decision making to achieve company strategic objectives. In this role, you have a strong drive to deliver excellent personal results, and you are passionate about control, operations, new technology, processes and working methods and support an entrepreneurial culture.

You take a proactive approach by challenging stakeholders with qualitative performance analysis to point out areas which need to be improved. The most important stakeholders for this role are the Chief Supply Chain Officer, the Operations management teams in the regions and the other disciplines within the Group Finance team and the global network of operations controllers.

You have a positive drive, a strong interest in figures and people. And your passion is something that does not go unnoticed. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the organizational excellence journey: main finance point of contact for the global performance dashboard and for the value tracking tool; interact with the regions and operations controller network;
  • Coordinate the investment review process;
  • Key interface to the local finance teams, supporting (coordination of) site level operations reporting activities, including related HR metrics and plant ESG reporting requirements;
  • Advocator of the data quality journey; support uniform operations KPI definitions and consistent application across business units;
  • Prepare (and drive efficiency in the) monthly reporting (limited), budget, forecast and strategic planning for central operations team.

About you:

We are looking for an analytical, ambitious and organized person who wants to be part of our talented team:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Control or related field;
  • At least 2 years of working experience in finance;
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency and ability to thrive in an environment with tight timelines, business pressure and competing priorities;
  • Experience in a multinational organization; fluent in English;
  • Out of the box thinking and hands-on mentality;
  • Strong sense of team and individual ownership and accountability;
  • Ability to translate operational trends and metrics, supporting business performance and results;
  • A clear communicator who gets enthusiastic by interactions with many different stakeholders at all levels in the organization;
  • Digitally savvy; experience or willingness to learn on KPI reporting from BI;
  • Fun to work with!
