As a Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality outcomes and act as the main point of contact for clients within the Construction & Building division. You’ll join an environment that values innovation, teamwork, and professional growth.
Our client is an engineering and project management firm specializing in designing and optimizing industrial facilities across sectors such as food, pharma, chemicals, and metals. Services include developing new factories, upgrading existing installations, and ensuring sustainability, safety, and compliance in industrial projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for the technical direction and overall success of your projects. You will lead project teams consisting of architectural designers, structural engineers, and design specialists, guiding them from concept to completion.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Defining project requirements and principles;
- Preparing documents for environmental permit applications;
- Writing specifications and developing cost estimates;
- Performing structural calculations for concrete and steel constructions;
- Producing construction drawings that form the foundation for project realization.
You will also support the department head in preparing quotations and contribute to the continued development of the department. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential, as you will work closely with clients and colleagues from various disciplines to ensure project success.
- A completed Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Civil Engineering or a related field;
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position;
- Experience with both architectural and structural engineering tasks;
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English;
- A client-focused mindset and enthusiasm for acting as a main point of contact;
- Strong technical insight and a proactive attitude as a sparring partner for your team.
