As a train cleaner, you are responsible for keeping the trains clean and tidy, including the floors, windows, and sanitary facilities. Thanks to your efforts, passengers can enjoy a clean and comfortable journey daily. More than 2900 train carriages are thoroughly cleaned every day.

Sometimes you carry out cleaning tasks during a ride, which makes for a dynamic and varied work environment. Other times you are responsible for the thorough cleaning and, together with your colleagues, ensure that the inside of the train is perfectly clean. This active job keeps you constantly moving and ensures you get plenty of steps in!

Your tasks include:

• Sweeping and mopping floors

• Cleaning staff rooms for train drivers and conductors

• Cleaning toilets

• Emptying waste bins

Before you start, you will receive extensive training and a thorough induction program, so you can start well-prepared. Naturally, we also provide appropriate workwear.

 Working Days & Hours:

The work location is active 24/7, making working hours flexible. Together with your planner – your fixed point of contact – you compile a schedule that perfectly matches your availability.

Whether you want to work part-time or maximize your hours: with us, you decide your own availability! No fixed hours or strict schedule, but plenty of flexibility. The broader your availability, the more often we can schedule you. You do this in close consultation with our planner.

Working Hours Roosendaal:

• Day Shift: 08:30 – 17:00

• Late Shift: 15:00 – 23:30

• Night Shift: 22:00 – 06:00

You can work 24 to 32 hours per week here, and up to 40 hours per week if you are flexible in your availability.

You will be employed through Actief Werkt! at Vebego Cleaning Services. They are a national family-owned company that provides cleaning and facility services for offices, healthcare institutions, as well as trains.

✅ A basic salary of €15.47 gross per hour for individuals aged 20 or older 
✅ On Monday through Thursday nights, you earn €20.11 (130% allowance on top of basic salary) 
✅ On weekends, you earn €23.21, including a 150% shift allowance 
✅ 8.33% holiday pay paid out in May 
✅ You save 25 vacation days (based on a full-time employment) 
✅ Weekly payment on Tuesday (can also be once every 4 weeks) 
✅ Pension accrual from the first day of work 
✅ A travel allowance of €0.14/km from 10 km one-way, and as much as €0.23 from the 30th km
✅ A convenient app with which you can view your schedule 
✅ A fixed contact person whom you can approach with questions 
✅ If you perform well, you can receive a contract with our client after one year
✅ Together we will look for a schedule that suits you
✅ Opportunity to obtain certificates and/or diplomas at the expense of Actief Werkt!

• The possibility to apply for a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), which will naturally be reimbursed by Actief Werkt!

• Proficiency in the Dutch and/or English language is required in order to follow a safety course

• You are a true active person and enjoy a physical job

• Living in or near Roosendaal

• You are at least 18 years old.
