1. ORGANIZATION
Reports hierarchically to the Head of AIT or Head of Production Launcher Structures and operationally to an AIT Manager or Team Leader.

2. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for an integrated planning of activities within the AIT department, including the allocation of staff and facilities for assigned projects. Facilitating projects by organizing necessary (logistical) matters before the start of the project, including work instructions. Introducing and guiding (digital) improvement initiatives.

3. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Transfers inventory parts to project needs in the MRP system
• Plans work on a high level, in the long term and in detail; Monitors work sequences, lead times, and utilization of staff and resources
• Adjusts the planning in case of changes and coordinates the consequences with stakeholders
• Manages planning methodologies: identifies improvement opportunities, initiates adjustments, coordinates changes, implements improvements, and monitors execution.
• Identifies bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement (Continuous Improvement), prepares solutions and improvement proposals, and introduces them.
• Identifies obstacles, documents them, and prepares alternative solutions.
• Initiates the withdrawal of necessary materials, equipment, and tools.
• Creates Request Purchase Orders at the request of AIT Managers or Team Leaders
• Monitors KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
• Conducts second-line troubleshooting for machines and/or tools and performs minor adjustments to software or hardware. Checks technical drawings.
• Prepares work instructions and procedures for assembly and testing activities
• Drafts complete task descriptions and ensures readiness reports.
• Prepares required documentation, for example, for logistics to enable shipments.

4. INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION
Internal:
• With direct colleagues, AIT Managers, Work Package Managers, Team Leaders, and Head of AIT / Head of Production to align work and provide advices
• With colleagues from Project Management Office (PMO), Procurement, Logistics, and Engineering for coordination.
External:
• With colleagues within Airbus to exchange knowledge in the field of Manufacturing Engineering (work preparation).
• With external experts to exchange knowledge on planning methodologies and software systems.
5. EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE LEVEL

1. ORGANISATIE
Rapporteert hiërarchisch aan de Head of AIT of Head of Production Launcher Structures en operationeel aan een AIT Manager of Team Leader.

2. DOEL VAN DE FUNCTIE
Zorgen voor een geïntegreerde planning van werkzaamheden binnen de afdeling AIT, waaronder inzet van medewerkers en faciliteiten t.b.v. de verkregen opdrachten. Het faciliteren van projecten door benodigde (logistieke) zaken voor aanvang van het project te organiseren, inclusief werkinstructies. Het introduceren en begeleiden van (digitale) verbetertrajecten.

3. FUNCTIE-INHOUD OP HOOFDLIJNEN
• Boekt voorraaddelen over naar projectbehoefte in het MRP systeem
• Plant de werkzaamheden op hoofdlijnen, op termijn en in detail; Bewaakt de werkvolgorde, doorlooptijden en inzet van medewerkers en bedrijfsmiddelen.
• Past bij wijzigingen de planning aan en stemt de gevolgen af met betrokkenen.
• Beheert planningsmethodieken: signaleert verbetermogelijkheden, initieert aanpassingen, stemt hierover af, voert deze in en bewaakt de uitvoering.
• Signaleert knelpunten en verbetermogelijkheden (in het kader van “Continue Verbeteren”), bereidt oplossingen en verbetervoorstellen voor en introduceert deze.
• Signaleert knelpunten, legt deze vast en bereidt alternatieve oplossingen voor.
• Initieert het onttrekken van benodigde materialen, equipment en gereedschappen.
• Maakt Request Purchase Orders aan op verzoek AIT Managers of Teamleaders.
• Houdt KPI’s (Key Performance Indicatoren) bij.
• Voert tweedelijns trouble shooting uit voor machines en/of tools en voert eenvoudige aanpassingen door aan soft- of hardware. Controleert technische tekeningen
• Stelt werkinstructies en procedures op voor samenbouw en test werkzaamheden.
• Stelt volledige opdrachtbeschrijvingen op en verzorgt gereed meldingen.
• Stelt vereiste documenten op, bijvoorbeeld voor logistiek om verzendingen mogelijk te maken.

4. COMMUNICATIE INTERN EN EXTERN
Intern:
• Met directe collega’s, AIT Managers / werkpakketmanagers, Team Leaders en Head of AIT / Head of Production om werkafstemming te realiseren en te adviseren.
• Met collega’s van Project Management Office (PMO), Procurement, logistiek en Engineering voor afstemming.
Extern:
• Met collega’s binnen Airbus om kennis uit te wisselen op het vakgebied Manufacturing Engineering (werkvoorbereiding).
• Met externe deskundigen om kennis uit te wisselen op het gebied van planningsmethodieken en software systemen.

Sufficient English language in speech and written, Dutch language preferred as well

Wensen:
Minimum 2+ years experience in a similar position, preferably more.
Experience with (digital) improvement processes
Preferably experience with SAP
Preferably MES system experience
Preferably experience in Aerospace sector
