Interim Project Manager

Warehousing & Logistics

We are looking for an experienced interim Project Manager Warehousing & Logisitics to manage the migration of our existing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) implementations to S/4 and to roll-out our EWM S/4 standard template to replace other warehouses solutions.

The geographic scope of the assignment is our European business. We have already successfully migrated several SAP EWM systems and are working according to a standardized approach to migrate the remaining legacy systems (in total 20). In parallel we are replacing our other warehouse systems with our EWM S/4 template. As our interim project manager EWM S/4, you oversee the planning, execution, and completion of the technical migration of our systems. A business project manager per location is your counterpart.

Your role includes coordinating our technical team, aligning with the business teams, managing timelines, ensuring implementations meet business requirements and best practices, aligning and preparing on testing, cut-over management and ensuring a proper hand-over to support.

📍 Location: Rotterdam

🕐 Availability: 4/5 days per week à start ASAP
📅 Duration: At least 6 months

At least 50% on-site presence in our Rotterdam office and visiting our locations in Europe, and where required coordinating activities on-site, is needed.

Key deliverables and activities:

• Project management: Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and planning. Manage team, scope, budget, risks and issues. Organize testing and acceptance. Manage cut-over and Go-Live. Ensure proper hand-over to support.
• Team coordination: Manage cross-functional multi-lingual teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
• Stakeholder management: Engage with stakeholders on Group, Business Unit, Plant and Warehouse level to align project goals with business needs.
• Issue and risk management: Identify potential issues and risks. Ensure a proper resolution approach per issue and a mitigation strategy per risk.

Experience and skills required

• 10+ years of experience in project management in an international setting. Proficiency in methodologies like Prince2 and SaFe/Agile.
• Proven track record in the Manufacturing/FMCG industry
• Technical knowledge: Understanding of SAP EWM and S/4HANA functionalities, and integrations with ERP.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences
• Proficient in English and Dutch, and preferably a third European language.
• Problem-solving skills, aptitude for addressing and resolving challenges that arise.
• Hands-on mentality with a proactive attitude
