Research Technician Proteomics Wageningen • Wageningen University & Research

To support the demand for high-throughput proteomics at the Laboratory of Biochemistry, we are looking for a highly motivated Proteomics Research Technician. You are responsible for organizing and maintaining our proteomics workflow, using high-end equipment such as a liquid-handling station and mass spectrometers. You will prepare samples for different research lines in close collaboration with our research groups and our Proteomics Staff-Scientist.

Your duties and responsibilities include:

• organizing and maintaining our proteomics workflow;
• operation of a liquid handling station and mass spectrometer;
• sample preparation for different research lines;
• contribute to general laboratory organization;
• contribute to teaching practicals.

You have a BSc degree in Life Sciences, Biological and Medical Research, Biotechnology or similar field (HBO/HLO level) and are interested in biochemical research and proteomics analysis.

In addition:

• you are practice-oriented and can plan your work independently and accurately;
• you enjoy helping, training and collaborating with other researchers (PhD students and Postdocs);
• preferably you have experience with electronic lab journals/LIMS;
• you are enthusiastic and proactive;
• you have an excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written, and you enjoy working in an international environment.
