Senior Information Security Officer Amsterdam • Cyber Security District

Our client, a mission-driven international organization, is dedicated to building a safer and more resilient digital ecosystem. As part of their growing cybersecurity function, they are looking for an experienced Senior Information Security Officer to strengthen security governance, enhance defense capabilities, and support a secure-by-design culture across the organization.

In this role, you will take ownership of security strategy and operations, collaborating with technical and business teams to implement effective security controls, manage incidents, and drive continuous improvement. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact on global digital security from the organisation’s Amsterdam headquarters.

• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and controls.
• Perform security assessments and communicate risks and mitigation plans.
• Lead access management and Zero Trust adoption initiatives.
• Deliver engaging security awareness and training programs.
• Oversee security incident management, ensuring effective detection and response.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security, ideally in Linux-based or containerized environments.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and OWASP frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, PAM, and other security tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to engage across teams.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, or GIAC are a plus.
