Are you the driver who completes every route smoothly, safely, and with a smile?

From A to B, that’s what it’s all about. As a Shunter, you play a crucial role in keeping our logistics operation running smoothly. You make sure that trailers and containers are moved to the right place at the right time on our yard in Zaltbommel.
You’ll be operating a modern shunting truck, working independently but closely with colleagues in the warehouse and with drivers on-site. In short: you are the vital link that keeps everything in motion.
What You’ll Do
- Move trailers and/or swap bodies around the yard (around 10 per hour).
- Keep track of trailer positions and make sure everything runs according to plan.
- Communicate via radio with warehouse and yard colleagues.
- Complete and hand over the trailer list at the end of each shift.
- Ensure safety on the yard and make sure everyone follows the safety rules.
Working Hours
You’ll work in a 3-shift system (an average of 5 shifts per week):
- Morning shift: 07:00 – 15:30
- Afternoon shift: 15:00 – 23:30
- Night shift: 23:00 – 07:30
Flexibility is expected when required.

- Responsible, structured and able to maintain an overview under pressure.
- Communicative and cooperative – you work well with warehouse staff and drivers.
- Stress-resistant, proactive and accurate.
- In possession of a T driving licence (tractor licence). A C licence is an advantage.
- Available to work in a 3-shift rotation.
- Able to communicate in Dutch and/or English.

- Salary: €2,663 – €3,501 gross per month (depending on experience).
- Shift allowance between 12.5% and 30%.
- 23 vacation days per year (based on 40 hours).
- 8% holiday allowance.
