Junior Intraday Trader Rotterdam • Eneco

You will join Eneco’s Intraday Trading team, where speed, precision and smart decision-making are essential. The team is responsible for optimizing Eneco’s results within the intraday power market. You will combine data-driven insights with entrepreneurial instinct and manage the risks that come with trading in fast-moving markets. Manage and optimize Eneco’s large renewable portfolio in the Netherlands and Belgium

•    Steer flexible generation capacity to the most profitable positions

•    Handle imbalance exposures of customers and assets and be responsible for P&L

•    Develop and execute profitable trading strategies and learn how to outsmart the market

•    Work irregular hours in a rotating shift system (early morning to late evening, 7 days a week)

We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with the right trading attitude: competitive, confident and hungry to win. You are not afraid to make bold decisions, you know when to wait, and you thrive under pressure.

• A Master’s degree in a quantitative STEM or Finance subject
• Relevant side experience gained during or alongside your studies (e.g. in trading, financial analysis, analytics, modelling or internships in trading companies)
• Entrepreneurial, results-driven mindset with strong business acumen
• Strong interpersonal skills: able to connect with different types of people and work as part of an international team
• Interest in meteorology and the influence of weather on the energy markets
• Experience with SQL/Python/Excel/VBA is a plus
