As an Accountant based in Amsterdam, you will play a key role in ensuring financial compliance, supporting strategic goals, and driving efficiencies in the organization's activities. Your Key Responsibilities as an Accountant in Amsterdam

• Financial Oversight and Reporting: Prepare and manage financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss accounts, and supporting documents, ensuring full compliance with local legal, fiscal, and social regulations.
• Tax and Compliance Management: Optimize tax compliance and fulfill all statutory reporting obligations for the region.
• Strategic Initiatives: Act as a local point of representation for the CFO, implementing global financial procedures while maintaining alignment with organizational standards.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with external parties such as auditors, tax authorities, banks, and regulatory bodies.
• Audit and Risk Management: Oversee audit readiness and mitigate financial and tax-related risks in accordance with regional legislation.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to enhancing the quality of financial controls and processes through innovative improvements.

About You
The ideal candidate for this Accountant role in Amsterdam will have the following qualifications:

• Professional Experience: At least 8 years of solid experience in accounting, finance, or a comparable field.
• Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Language Skills: Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experienced in ERP systems such as S/4 HANA (or similar).
• Key Competencies: Expertise in accounting standards, local tax regulations, financial reporting, and audit processes.
