MissionIn this role, you will contribute to the successful delivery of the EMS Digital Evolution project. As the person responsible for data migration and quality, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure a seamless transition from the current software version to the new one. You will participate in all testing phases up to project commissioning.The EMS Digital Evolution project involves upgrading a critical Energy Management System (EMS) that supports real-time monitoring and control of the high-voltage grid, visual management (single-line diagrams), and database maintenance. The objective is to modernize the system and prepare it for a more digital and data-driven future.Responsibilities• Ensure synchronization between the current EMS version (Network Manager 9.2) and the new version (Network Manager 10) throughout all project phases• Guarantee data integrity across all domains (network, visuals, operator data, etc.)• Collaborate with database management teams to test and validate the new user interface for database maintenance• Verify the integrity of software services and ensure their successful migration• Update and enhance quality control scripts used by operational maintenance teams• Develop new quality controls aligned with the capabilities of the upgraded system• Analyze, adapt, or develop support tools (e.g., in Access, Python, or other technologies) to facilitate EMS database management• Document testing activities, migration procedures, operational processes, and templates for database maintenance• Facilitate knowledge transfer to end users, particularly the Front Office database maintenance team• Support engineers in writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code through best practices, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiativesFunctie-eisen
Requirements:• You hold a degree or have demonstrable experience in software development• Experience with version control systems, preferably GIT• Experience working in an Agile team, including participation in sprint reviews, grooming, anddaily standups• Experience with Python or other programming languages• Knowledge of energy, electricity, or electromechanics is a plus• Able to follow conversations in French and Dutch. Proficiency in English is essential• Able to work independently, conduct research autonomously, and ask questions whenneeded• Detail-oriented and adheres to standards• Team player with strong communication skillsSollicitatieprocedure
