As a Data Scientist with a GenAI focus, you will:
Partner with the Product Manager and product team (including Data Engineers, Backend Engineers, Data Analysts, App Developers, and Front-End Developers) to implement and evolve a conversational AI assistant for Eneco’s consumer channels
Guide the team in defining requirements for new features and measuring effectiveness and accuracy of GenAI solutions
Expand the AI assistant’s capabilities, bringing new functionality to enhance customer interactions
Lead the professionalization and productization of GenAI systems, providing expert recommendations and adapting to changing priorities as the GenAI journey evolves
Collaborate with business stakeholders to balance commercial requirements with engineering best practices
Apply a pragmatic, iterative approach to data science, quickly demonstrating value through prototypes, pilots, and working products
Identifying and scoping impactful data science projects within the product team
Building and maintaining reliable metric pipelines, including alerting, drift tracking, and reliability monitoring
Creating GenAI evaluation frameworks and measuring the effectiveness of conversational AI features
Sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team
Acting as a key partner to the Product Manager, influencing the roadmap and strategy for AI-driven customer communication
Ensuring the performance of ML/statistical models in production settings
You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. You are opinionated about best practices in GenAI implementation and comfortable adapting to new challenges and pivots. You combine technical expertise with strong communication skills and a commercial mindset.
You bring:
MSc in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist in a company setting
Experience implementing GenAI chatbots or conversational AI systems
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; experience with Azure, MLFlow, AirFlow, and Databricks is a plus
Knowledge of data science techniques, NLP, and statistical methods
Experience in data engineering, building metric pipelines, and integrating data from diverse sources
Ability to independently drive projects and mentor junior colleagues
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Dutch language skills are a strong plus
A curious mindset and interest in the energy domain
Salaris
