Volledige vacaturetekst

Basic Pharma is a unique and rapidly growing Dutch pharmaceutical company that continuously strengthens and expands its organization while further specializing and developing its expertise. The company operates across the full spectrum of the pharmaceutical industry: from product development, registration, production, and commercialization of (bio)pharmaceutical products to pharmaceutical services. Basic Pharma serves an ever-growing range of national and international clients — from start-ups to multinationals.

The production organization, Basic Pharma Manufacturing, produces products such as nasal sprays, prefilled syringes, creams, and ointments. In addition, it provides study medications and offers various services to third parties, such as quality control and contract manufacturing. Basic Pharma Technologies develops pharmaceutical products for its own production organization, often in collaboration with partners, and subsequently licenses these out to customers. This business unit also has a biotech facility for product development and study medication.

Finally, Interdos has built a solid track record in providing consultancy services in the fields of Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, and Quality. The availability and integration of all these activities under one roof make Basic Pharma a strong and versatile player within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently, around 195 employees work at Basic Pharma. Our ambitions continue to grow, and we are looking for dedicated professionals who value quality, professionalism, and customer focus. If this sounds like you, the position below might be a great fit!

We are looking for a
Laboratory Technician

What will you be working on?

You will join the Development Department, where you will support process, product, and analytical development. In this dynamic role, you will perform routine and project-related laboratory activities and play an active part in method development and validation. You will independently ensure proper documentation, execution, and reporting in line with planning and budget, following the applicable pharmacopoeia and international quality guidelines.

Depending on ongoing projects, your responsibilities may include:

  • Performing analytical and general routine laboratory work
  • Executing product-related development and improvement projects
  • Developing and validating analytical methods
  • Reporting and documenting results
  • Conducting equipment qualification and calibration activities
  • Maintaining and improving departmental quality systems in accordance with (cGLP) current Good Laboratory Practices
What do you bring?
  • You are accurate, eager to learn, solution-oriented, and possess strong analytical and quality awareness. You can work both independently and collaboratively in a structured and organized manner.
  • You have the technical skills and troubleshooting abilities to operate complex analytical instruments.
  • You are enthusiastic about developing and validating analytical methods, using your previous experience and education. Identifying improvements to existing methods is also highly valued.
  • In addition to your technical expertise, you contribute to a positive working atmosphere. You are proactive, positive, and hands-on.
  • You are assertive, flexible, independent, stress-resistant, and have strong social, verbal, and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree (HBO level) and have at least 5 years of relevant experience.

  • You have hands-on experience with method development and validation and are familiar with various techniques such as liquid chromatography (HPLC), droplet size distribution, and viscosity measurements in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment.

  • You have worked within (cGLP) quality systems and understand their maintenance and compliance requirements.

  • We encourage our employees to continue their professional growth by offering (internal) courses and training programs.

What we offer
  • A challenging and responsible position within a dynamic, growing organization;
  • A competitive salary and attractive secondary employment benefits (such as flexible working hours, hybrid working options, bicycle lease scheme, 28 vacation days, pension plan, etc.);
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth;
  • An inspiring and collegial working environment with an international character.
