We are seeking a Senior Accountant (m/v/x) in Nieuw Vennep, near the Schiphol Airport area, to join a fast-growing international company in the renewable energy sector. As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee accurate financial operations across multiple entities, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to continuous process improvements. This is a unique opportunity to both refine your technical accounting expertise and make a real impact, working within an ambitious and innovative team.

General Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Perform daily accounting across multiple entities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and year-end adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP and internal standards for financial records.
• Assist in preparing annual financial statements and statutory filings.
• Manage vendor invoice processing, employee expense claims, and approval workflows.
• Handle VAT returns and indirect tax submissions for multiple entities.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, including capitalization and depreciation postings.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors for compliance reviews.

Treasury & Cash Management

• Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain oversight of cash positions across entities.
• Support payment runs and ensure all internal control protocols are met.
• Assist with interest calculations, loan reconciliations, and cash flow forecasts.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or audit within an international environment; Big 4 experience is a plus.
• Strong familiarity with Dutch GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with an analytical mindset.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities independently.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Dutch or other languages is an advantage.
• Experience in the Renewable, Offshore, or Maritime industry is considered a plus.

• Annual salary of €60,000 - €80,000, including holiday allowance, based on 40 hours per week and experience.
• 26 vacation days per year (pro-rated for full-time employment).
