We are looking for an Indirect Tax Specialist to support our finance team and oversee all aspects of indirect tax compliance across the EMEA region. You will ensure Allego remains compliant with ever-changing tax regulations for electric mobility.

Your responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with the Indirect Tax Advisory team to monitor, analyze, and assess changes in indirect tax laws;
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of VAT, ESL/ESPL, Intrastat, SAF-T, and other indirect tax reports across EMEA;
• Work with third-party compliance partners to review filings, implement improvements, and update processes as needed;
• Reconcile and provide accurate data to compliance partners, ensure timely tax payments, and manage all aspects of VAT accounting;
• Monitor outputs from ERP and tax systems and resolve issues in collaboration with IT;
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to make indirect tax reporting more efficient;
• Support management by providing audit-ready files and documentation;
• Develop strategies to identify and mitigate tax compliance risks while optimizing opportunities;
• Respond promptly to any notices received and handle administrative updates;
• Maintain proper file archives in accordance with Allego’s document retention policy.

Gevraagd

This is you:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Fiscal Law, or a related field;
• Minimum of 3 years of indirect tax compliance experience in public accounting firms or multinational corporations;
• Thorough knowledge of indirect tax regulations across multiple EMEA countries;
• Proven project management skills;
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken;
• Strong communicator, able to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals;
• Experience with tax reporting tools and automation software;
• Willing to work from our Arnhem office 3 days per week.
