Safety Advisor - Industrial Hygienist / Arbeidshygiene

Our client is an international technology-driven organisation operating in a highly regulated industrial environment. The organisation is known for its strong operational standards and focus on continuous improvement. Sustainability and responsible business practices are important pillars within the organisation, which operates across multiple locations and works with global manufacturing partners. For their site in Papendrecht, we are looking for a Safety Advisor with the specialism in occupational health (Arbeidshygiene) to strengthen the HSE team.. The site operates across three distinct business lines, each with its own risks and challenges. As a Safety Advisor - Occupational Hygienist, you advise colleagues across the organization. You assess and analyse occupational health and safety risks and translate changes in legislation and regulations into practical measures. Your primary focus is on exposure to chemicals, noise and vibrations, as well as ergonomics. You are able to strike the right balance between compliance and practical solutions, and your clear communication style helps build strong business cases for safety improvements. You will be part of the HSE Team and report to the HSE Director.

What will you do:
Policy & Governance
•Contribute to the development and formulation of the company’s HSE policy in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
•Implement and embed approved policies across the organization.
•Monitor relevant (inter)national legislation and regulations and advise the organization on implications and required actions.
•Translate legal and regulatory requirements into internal procedures and guidelines and ensure effective implementation.
Safety & Health (Occupational Hygiene)
•Coordinate and oversee exposure measurements and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
•Advise on occupational health topics such as vibrations, radiation and vulnerable employee groups.
•Coordinate and execute actions in line with the HSE annual plan (including RI&E, exposure monitoring, PMO/PAGO, etc.).
•Organize, conduct, document and follow up on safety audits related to working conditions.
•Ensure accurate registration and maintenance of relevant data in designated information systems.
•Lead incident investigations and ensure proper analysis, follow-up and closure of corrective actions, in consultation with safety specialists where required.
•Act as a key point of contact and subject-matter expert for internal stakeholders and external parties (including the Dutch Labour Inspectorate).
Reporting & Compliance
•Provide periodic reports to management on progress, preventive measures, incidents, project outcomes, deviations and root causes.
•Prepare and submit required statutory and regulatory reports to external authorities and stakeholders.. •HBO / Bachelor degree in Occupational Hygiene or IVK (Integrale Veiligheidskunde) or HVK (Hogere Veiligheidskunde - Nebosh)
•Minimum of 3 years experience in HSE and/or Occupational Hygiene
•Knowledge of applicable Dutch legislation and regulations, in particular the Working Conditions Act (Arbowet),
•Excellent communication skills, able to engage and align all stakeholders.
•You are analytical, structured and intrinsically motivated to elevate the safety culture to the next level.

• Salary from € 6.342,00 with a maximum of € 7.843,00 gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience
