In this role, you will work in shifts and be responsible for operating the machines and ensuring the quality of the process. Would you like to work at a healthy and innovative company? Strengthen our SMMA (Surface Mount & Mechanical Assembly) department as an Operator SMMA.
This is what we offer youIn the role of Operator, we offer you a challenging position in a dynamic and financially healthy production environment. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the development and growth of Neways.
You can count on:

A competitive salary, aligned with your knowledge and experience on a full‑time basis.

You know better than anyone how to maintain clear communication with fellow operators and engineers about the production process. You are driven, enthusiastic, independent, show initiative easily, and are passionate about your field.
What we ask
A completed technical MBO education, for example in electronics.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a technical production environment.
Experience with an SMD production line is a plus, not a requirement.
Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
Strong communication and writing skills in both Dutch and English.
Willingness to work structurally in a two‑shift schedule.
As an SMMA Operator, you are responsible for placing components on printed circuit boards using an SMD machine. You ensure the SMD production line runs as efficiently as possible, executing orders based on drawings and instruction lists, and adjusting the machines and components accordingly. You enjoy the challenge of delivering the right quantity and quality of SMD‑assembled PCBs within the production schedule, in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment where proto orders are not always fully defined.
You are involved in preparation, execution, and additional tasks to keep the production process running smoothly. You are a true team player, taking on tasks such as preparing orders, performing maintenance activities, and cleaning machines and work areas. You are used to working according to work instructions, regulations, and drawings, and you can determine your own work sequence while keeping production deadlines in mind, where communication is key. As an SMMA Operator, you collaborate with planners, process engineers, and manufacturing engineers, and you report directly to one of the two team leaders and coordinators of the SMMA department.
Your responsibilities also include:
Checking and assessing orders for completeness and taking action on deviations.
Loading feeders with the correct components based on the production file.
Programming, setting up, and operating the machines.
Resolving malfunctions in the SMD production line.
Refilling feeders during production.
Repairing identified assembly errors and, when possible, correcting the process.
