For one of our clients, a leading contractor in the Dutch civil engineering sector, we are looking for an Experienced Civil Engineer in the Rotterdam area.

You will become part of an organisation where large, technically challenging infrastructure projects are combined with a personal and supportive working environment. You will work on projects in infrastructure, rail, water technology, energy, industrial construction and renovation projects while continuing to grow professionally.

As an Experienced Civil Engineer, you are responsible for preparing complex infrastructure projects for successful execution. You work closely with project managers, site managers, designers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and according to plan.

You are able to identify risks, optimise planning and coordinate all technical preparations before construction starts.

Depending on your experience, you may also support and coach junior engineers and contribute to improving project processes.

Your responsibilities include:

• Preparing multidisciplinary civil engineering projects
• Coordinating planning, procurement and technical documentation
• Identifying project risks and proposing practical solutions
• Coordinating with designers, suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitoring quality, safety and project progress
• Supporting project management during execution
• Optimising work preparation processes
• Coaching junior colleagues when appropriate

We are looking for experienced Civil Engineers who want to build a long-term career in the Netherlands.

You have:

• A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related technical field
• A Civil Engineering degree obtained inside or outside the Netherlands
• At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering, infrastructure or construction projects
• Dutch language skills at B2 level or higher
• Good English communication skills
• Experience with planning, project coordination and technical preparation
• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset

Experience with Dutch regulations is an advantage, but not essential. We will help you become familiar with Dutch standards and working methods.
