Introduction
Are you a Control System Engineer looking to work on cutting-edge technology for the next generation of telecom networks? You will join an innovative high-tech startup developing advanced Free Space Optics (FSO) systems for high-speed wireless communication. From the Eindhoven region, you will work on complex control challenges together with experienced engineers and international technology partners. Your work will have a direct impact on bringing a new real-time communication product from development to application.
Your responsibilities
You will take ownership of the control systems within an advanced Free Space Optics platform, from design and modelling through testing and integration.
Design and further develop control algorithms for Free Space Optics systems.
Model and analyse dynamic MIMO systems in both the s- and z-domain.
Test, validate and integrate control algorithms into a new real-time communication product.
Apply feedback control, discrete-time control, signal processing, filtering, estimation and system identification.
Collaborate closely with embedded software engineers, other engineering disciplines and external technology partners.
Company profile
You will join an ambitious high-tech startup in the Eindhoven region that develops next-generation optical communication technology. The company operates at the intersection of telecom, photonics and advanced engineering, creating innovative solutions for new telecom and enterprise networks. You will work in a multidisciplinary and highly technical environment with access to an international ecosystem of technology companies, research organisations and universities. The culture is entrepreneurial, hands-on and informal: there are short communication lines, plenty of room for initiative and a strong focus on turning complex technology into working products.
Your profile
You hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or a comparable technical discipline, preferably with a specialisation in control systems.
You have approximately 3-5+ years of relevant experience in control engineering or complex technical system development.
You have solid knowledge of linear systems, feedback control, discrete-time control, signal processing, filtering, estimation and system identification.
You are comfortable modelling and analysing MIMO systems in both the s- and z-domain.
You have experience with Python and strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
A plus: you have working knowledge of C++ and/or experience with FPGA development using Verilog or VHDL.
Offer
A gross monthly salary of up to €7.000,- depending on your knowledge and experience.
The opportunity to work on next-generation Free Space Optics technology with international applications.
Participation in an Employee Stock Appreciation Rights Program.
A high level of technical ownership, autonomy and freedom to take initiative within a fast-moving high-tech environment.
