We are supporting an international organisation in the search for an experienced Cyber Security Officer to join its global cybersecurity function.
This is a broad and influential role working closely with senior security leadership and stakeholders across multiple regions and business functions. You will help shape and continuously improve the organisation’s approach to cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, awareness and resilience. As a trusted security advisor, you will translate security requirements into practical business decisions while ensuring alignment with regulatory obligations, industry standards and organisational objectives.
Responsibilities:- Maintain and continuously improve the organisation’s CyberSecurity Management System (CSMS).
- Develop, maintain and oversee information security policies, standards, procedures and governance frameworks.
- Manage and advise on cyber security risks, compliance requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Act as a trusted security advisor to business, IT and Operational Technology (OT) stakeholders.
- Lead and support internal and external audits, security assessments, certifications and customer security reviews.
- Drive security awareness initiatives and help strengthen a positive security culture across the organisation.
- Support third-party security risk management, supplier assessments and customer due diligence activities.
- Prepare security reporting, insights and recommendations for senior management and governance forums.
- Partner with international stakeholders to ensure security requirements are aligned with business objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, auditors, regulators, customers and partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve security processes, controls and ways of working.
- Contribute to the organisation’s wider cyber resilience strategy.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Information Security, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Governance, Compliance or a related discipline.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience implementing and maintaining security governance frameworks and management systems.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 and IEC 62443.Strong understanding of security risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Experience supporting audits, certifications, assessments and regulatory reviews.
- Experience working in an international and multicultural environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across different organisational levels.
- Ability to balance business objectives with security, risk and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex security topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive, independent and solution-oriented approach.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of OT environments and/or critical infrastructure is a strong advantage.
