Senior Electrical Equipment Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Equipment Engineer to oversee the electrical aspects of production equipment throughout its lifecycle. This key role involves supporting engineering projects, ensuring electrical safety, and providing troubleshooting support within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:
• Support and lead modifications and upgrades of existing production equipment and assist with the integration of new machinery.
• Provide expert advice on electrical safety and compliance in line with Dutch regulations and standards.
• Act as the primary electrical subject-matter expert for the production process, working closely with external vendors and internal teams.
• Perform equipment qualification reviews and manage electrical safety inspections, including periodic NEN 3140/NEN-EN-IEC 60204-1 checks.
• Support troubleshooting and emergency repairs on production lines.
• Review electrical modifications and ensure adherence to safety standards, GMP, and quality requirements.
• Manage electrical safety documentation, inspections, and personnel appointments in accordance with NEN 3140.
• Assist in developing test protocols, technical evaluations, and assessment reports for electrical systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with project teams, maintenance technicians, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and safety of electrical equipment.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven experience as an Installation Responsible Person (IV) under NEN 3140.
• Strong practical knowledge of Dutch electrical safety laws and standards, including NEN 3140 and IEC 60204-1.
• Extensive hands-on experience with electrical safety, troubleshooting, and equipment lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch (native or proficient) and English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
