You will be working at an audiovisual company in Amsterdam that brings creative ideas to life through visuals, sound and technology. The company develops AV solutions for museums, cultural venues, businesses and other unique environments. Technology and experience come together in these projects: from designing audiovisual systems to installing them and ensuring they continue to perform as they should.

You will join a small team with a great deal of technical expertise. Although everyone is responsible for their own work, colleagues are always ready to help each other when needed. Together, you make sure projects run smoothly and technical challenges are resolved quickly.

Most projects are located in and around Amsterdam, but the company also works with clients elsewhere in the Netherlands. In addition, they work with international clients. This means you may occasionally travel abroad, for example to Norway or Denmark, to work on a project.

As an AV Installer, you make sure audiovisual installations are properly installed on-site and continue to work as intended. You will work independently on your own tasks, but during your onboarding period, you will first visit projects together with a colleague. This will give you the opportunity to get to know the installations, locations and regular clients.

As you gain experience, you will take on more responsibility and handle a variety of jobs independently. Some days you may spend the entire day working on one project, while on other days you may visit several locations. Your involvement does not end once an installation has been completed: you will also provide service and maintenance and help resolve technical issues.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing audiovisual equipment and systems at various locations.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance to ensure installations continue to work properly.
• Investigating faults and technical issues and finding practical solutions.
• Supporting clients and colleagues with service after an installation has been completed.
• Working on a variety of projects and occasionally travelling abroad for international projects.

You already know what it is like to work in audiovisual technology and bring relevant experience with you. In addition to your experience, your practical mindset and willingness to keep learning are just as important. You enjoy working with technology and figuring out technical problems yourself.

You are also comfortable working at different locations on a regular basis. You can work independently on a job, but are equally comfortable working together with colleagues when needed.

• You already have experience working as an AV Technician/Installer and have a technical background.
• You have a category B driving licence and enjoy travelling to different locations for work.
• You are willing to travel internationally when required for projects.
• It is a plus if you are currently learning Dutch or actively working on improving your Dutch language skills.

You can start immediately as an AV Installer for 40 hours per week and will be employed directly by the company. Depending on your background and work experience, they will discuss a suitable salary with you. You will work in a small and enthusiastic team and visit a variety of locations. For work-related travel, you can make use of the company’s vehicle fleet. There is plenty of room for your own ideas and approach, as well as opportunities to develop professionally. For example, you can take courses and training programmes to further expand your technical knowledge.
