You are an experienced professional in the metalworking industry. You know how large punching machines work, can set them up independently and understand what is happening throughout the production process.

General operator experience alone is not enough for this position. Hands-on experience with large industrial punching machines is essential.

In addition:

• You have solid experience as a Punch Press Operator;
• You have worked with large industrial punching machines;
• You can independently set up, operate and adjust machines;
• You have strong technical insight and extensive machine knowledge;
• You have an eye for dimensions, quality and the finished product;
• You recognise deviations and potential malfunctions at an early stage;
• You enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues;
• You work safely, accurately and independently;
• You have at least vocational/MBO-level working and thinking ability;
• You speak Dutch, English or German.

Speaking Dutch is not required. If you are an experienced Punch Press Operator and can communicate well in English or German, we would be just as happy to hear from you.

As a Punch Press Operator, you are responsible for keeping the punching machines running smoothly. You know which settings are required, closely monitor the production process and intervene when necessary.

Your responsibilities include:

• Independently setting up and operating large punching machines;
• Checking and adjusting machine settings when necessary;
• Monitoring the production process;
• Checking dimensions and product quality;
• Identifying and preventing malfunctions;
• Carrying out maintenance together with the technical maintenance team;
• Keeping your workplace safe, clean and organised;
• Contributing ideas for production process improvements;
• Sharing your knowledge with less experienced colleagues.

That last point is particularly important to us. We are not simply looking for someone who can keep production running. We are looking for someone who understands why a machine behaves the way it does.
