At Johnny River in Amsterdam, you prepare creative breakfast and lunch dishes in a vibrant open kitchen. This international setting offers a unique work-life balance with free weekends and evenings, plus access to the Hai Academy for professional growth. You enjoy collective perks like party rentals and discounts while shaping daily menus. Ready to spice up your culinary career in the heart of the city?
As our chef de partie you’ll work in an open kitchen at our vibrant location. Of course, you won’t be doing it alone: together with our catering staff, you’ll form a close-knit team. Every day, you’ll bring a creative touch to our lunch offering, with plenty of room for your own ideas. Think hot meals, street food, salads and much more.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You’ll have the culinary freedom to create menus and dishes. You decide how to surprise your guests every day;
- You’ll interact with guests and ensure a welcoming experience. You’ll inform them about allergens, offer advice and take care of portioning meals;
- You’ll process orders, carry out quality checks and ensure everything meets food safety standards.
Working hours
Your working hours are Monday to Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. This means you’ll have every evening and weekend free to enjoy the things you love!
- You have a Level 3 vocational diploma in professional cookery, or relevant work experience;
- You’re creative in the kitchen and enjoy working independently;
- You have a professional attitude and can handle pressure.
- A gross monthly salary of €2,645 to €3,289, based on full-time employment, with employment conditions in accordance with the Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement (CAO), Part B;
- 8% holiday allowance, 25 days of annual leave and, of course, a pension plan;
- An attractive travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre for journeys of 10 km or more;
- A contract tailored to your preferences and availability. If we’re both happy, we’d be delighted to explore a permanent position;
- We believe in helping you grow. That’s why you’ll have access to training courses and development programmes through our Hai Academy, helping you become a little better every day;
- As a Hai colleague, you’ll also enjoy great collective perks: borrow items for your own parties, get discounts on a range of products and outings, and enjoy many more extras that make working with us even more rewarding.
