IT Functional Specialist Traineeship - ABN AMRO Amstelveen

You will be a Functional Specialist in the Information Protection team that is part of the CISO (Corporate Information Security Office) Cyber Defence department, with a focus on the operations and improvement on management of Shadow IT. This role requires an analytical mindset and the ability to judge the risks posed by use of cloud apps/services/SaaS. You will be communicating with multiple stakeholders and end users at all levels of seniority throughout the bank so good interpersonal skills will be a huge plus. 

You will identify areas for improvements, being critical to ensure that issues are resolved or sent to appropriate party. In addition, you will enjoy actively sharing learning with your colleagues so we can all develop together. We will also support your learning path.  

What does your working day look like? 

• The team works according to the DevOps & Agile methodology. 
• You are working on handling operation and improvement of ShadowIT. 
• You will make sure that our services are up and running. Occasionally there are incidents that occur that you are going to investigate. 
• For your work you often engage with various stakeholders such as other IT departments, business colleagues and end users.

• Handling day to day ShadowIT operations and improving the process, contributing to maturing the capability. 
• Enthusiastically participating, taking ownership and problem solving. 
• Quickly able to understand the way of working and show value and deliverables. 

• University degree, preferably in computer science, cyber security or other 
• Good data analysis or gap analysis skills. 
• Knowledge on fundamentals of Security. 
• Knowledge of web proxy concepts, SaaS, cloud apps, web ports and protocols.   
• Hands-on, self-organized, willing to finish and deliver (execution power)  
• Ambition to grow into cyber security professional, likes to have fun because we are a fun loving team

Nice to have: 

• Security certifications – Basic or Cloud specific 
• Relevant knowledge, skills, competences & desired education level: University degree, preferably in computer science, cyber security or other 
• At least 1 year experience working in Cyber Security (must) 

Traineeship via Finance Club 
For a whole year you will learn not only on the job but also through additional training sessions and courses facilitated entirely by the Finance Club. These include training sessions to further develop your substantive knowledge and also focus on soft skills development. Think of training in areas such as data, banking, planning and agenda management, stakeholder management and more. In consultation with you, our happy manager and your manager at ABN AMRO,we will tailor the optimal curriculum for you.

Salary: €3.500 per month
