Platform Cloud Engineer Arnhem

We are looking for a platform cloud engineer (32-40 hrs) to strengthen a DevOps team. We are looking for experienced people in this domain with a drive to innovate, continuously improve, automate and actively engage with the DevOps teams to deliver services that make their live easier.

Our (internal) customers request one stop shop and self-service functionalities on our own internal cloud platform.
You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to develop Central Services for DevOps teams.
You will design and develop Everything as a service (XaaS) which will be will be available to the teams through self-service
Services currently being build are Database aaS, Data streaming (Kafka) aaS and others.
You will align with devops-engineers that are working on a Container Orchestrated Platform
You will align with (solution) architects and engineers to identify the need for Central Services
You will focus on creating an Event Bus as a Service (EB aaS) for event-driven data integration and contribute to, support all services developed by the team.
You will use standardized building blocks and implement as fully automated as possible
Ensure privacy and security are respected
React to incidents and perform standby activities with the rest of the team
Provide suggestions and tools to help development decrease lead time

• Experience with event-driven data integration
• Understanding of Object store, different types of open source databases
• Understanding Micro Services architecture
• Able to describe a service from a broad perspective
• Experience with developing state-full applications, databases on containers

In principle, this concerns a secondment assignment, but it is also possible to enter into permanent employment with our client. We are very flexible in that regard.
