As a Structural Engineer – Project Leader, you are responsible for the Civil Engineering section within the multidisciplinary substation projects, from the definition phase to the completion of the project. You are in particular responsible for the study and the follow-up of the realization of the architectural part of these projects.

The tasks of this varied position mainly comprise the following activities, always for the architectural part within the multidisciplinary projects:

• developing technical solutions during the design phase and establishing the architectural concepts for the project in line with existing standards;
• launching on-site tests (stability, pollution, asbestos, ...);
• preparing and managing budgets as well as the planning of the projects ;
• drawing up and managing the scenario of the works;
• writing out the works to be realized in the project memorandum;
• coordinating and following up on the architectural plans in the context of permit applications;
• managing, coordinating and following up the implementation studies, i.e. the stability studies of the architectural structures and the plans drawn up;
• directing and monitoring external study partners;
• drawing up the special technical specifications and price list for contracting the contractors;
• monitoring and coordinating the shipyards and contractors and directing the site supervisor Civil Engineering;
• maintaining contacts with authorities and local residents together with the Public Acceptance employees;
• participating in the completion of the contracts;
• evaluating the Contractors;
• the technical and financial conclusion of the project.

• You have a Master's degree in Structural Engineering
• You speak Dutch and English. An intermediate level of French is an asset.
• You have a similar experience or are willing to develop your skills as a Project Leader in civil engineering.
• You are well organized, communicative, flexible and willing to work in a team.
• You have a strong affinity for architectural techniques, soil mechanics and notions of stability calculations.
• You are able to work on several projects at the same time.
