Create a strong interchangeable software product by becoming our Embedded Engineer

Your future ecosystem

You will be part of one of our three embedded teams in our Product Development Department. The team you will join consists of a Product Owner, Tech Lead, Project Manager, and 7 Embedded Developers. Together you will work on abstract protocols and modules with the goal of creating a strong interchangeable software platform for our Building Automation solutions.

How you add value
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior C++ Embedded Developer with at least 5 years of C++ experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in modern C++ (C++17 or later) and extensive experience in embedded systems development. You will play a critical role in designing and implementing software for our service-oriented, event-driven architecture, contributing to around 15+ modules running on our embedded platform.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code for our embedded systems.
- Good understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and abstract programming;
- Work within an event-driven architecture, using MQTT as a primary communication protocol.
- Utilize multi-threading programming techniques to optimize system performance.
- Development of new software designs, solving complex problems with innovative solutions.

- Possess advanced Linux experience demonstrating in-depth knowledge of network configurations, the operating system, and systemd.
- Experience with communication protocols (e.g., Can, Modbus, Dali, BacNET, SMI) is an advantage,
- Experience with Yocto, GitHub, and GoogleTest is highly valued, enhancing our development and testing processes.

Who you are

We are looking for an embedded developer who wants to develop the next-gen controller for Priva. Furthermore, we will read your resume to find:

• At least more than 5 years of experience in embedded C++ development and Linux (C++ 17 preferred);
• Good understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and abstract programming;
• Experience with Yocto, GitHub, and GoogleTest is an advantage;
• Experience with serial communication protocols is an advantage;

• A gross salary based on your experience in the range of € 4.500,- and € 5.500,- based on 40 hours a week;
