Looking for an exciting opportunity to bring dsm-firmenich's Yeast Extracts Production to the next level? dsm-firmenich is looking for a new Production Manager GPB.
dsm-firmenich manufacturing Delft (GPB) is the largest plant in the world when it comes to the production of Yeast Extracts for the Savory market. The GPB also produces Natamycin for Food & Crop Protection and feed additives, provides utilities to the Delft Site, and manages several Contract Manufacturing Organizations.
The GPB is the reliable and preferred manufacturing site for Yeast Extracts and Natamycin by continuously exceeding customer expectations with high-performing teams with care for each other and our planet. The GPB also supplies the Delft site with utilities like steam, electricity and chemicals. The main process steps are fermentation, enzymatic autolysis, centrifugation, phase separation, catalysis, distillation, evaporation, decanting, filtration, drying, crystallization and packaging.
As the Production Manager GPB you are responsible for the development, implementation and realization of the production plan, within the manufacturing plan and within corporate requirements and guidelines. You also develop, structure and manage the production organization, in order to ensure the realization of the objectives of the production organization (SHE, quantity, quality, costs and organization). The production organization consists of 5 shifts and a day shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain SHE, Quality, and Security structures and systems, in line with dsm- firmenich and BU TTH guidelines and systems, in order to meet legal obligations, guarantee the quality of processes and products, ensure the license to operate and a safe and healthy working place for employees;
• Lead the execution of the production plan and ensure that the installations are managed and operated in a safe, technically sound, and environmentally acceptable manner, by complying with all relevant external and dsm-firmenich requirements and practices. Where necessary take corrective action;
• Stimulate continuous improvement in the production organization and define and execute operational improvement programs;
• Formulate, get approval, and manage the yearly cost budget for the production organization;
• Manage performance indicators and ensure periodical reporting of actual performance
  against predefined targets;
• Define the need for technical competencies based on the manufacturing strategy and ensure
  the availability of these in the production organization

• Compensation: Based on your experience we will offer you a base salary of € 87,893 to € 125,562 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.

You Bring

• Master's/Bachelor degree in engineering;
• More than 10 years of relevant operations experience with a strong understanding of
  process safety;
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a production manager role in the process industry;
• Good communication skills, change management skills, and organizational behavior
  management skills;
• Decisive and pragmatic with proven problem-solving capabilities;
• You are able to focus, align, and build effective teams and develop long-term capabilities of
  others in the organization, and find satisfaction in influencing someone's life or career;
• Speak fluently Dutch and English.
