We are seeking a motivated Media Specialist to effectively collect, verify and analyze thoroughly newsworthy information. Our objective is for us to manage our reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.
The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of various social media/news platforms and how to optimize content for maximum engagement. As a representative of our organization, you will actively participate in relevant conversations. Your expertise in media will be essential in achieving our goals and establishing strong external connections.

Responsibilities:

• Collecting, verifying and analyzing thoroughly newsworthy information
• Assemble findings into a stable story

• Receive assignments or investigate news leads/tips

• Stay up-to-date with the latest current events by studying papers, attending events etc.
• Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
• Generate, edit, publish and share content that builds more insight and meaningful connections
• Set up and optimize organization pages within each platform to increase the visibility of organization social content
• Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

• Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions

• Ability to gather, write and edit news
• Broad knowledge of headlines
• Computer proficiency (MS Office, digital editing, web search, databases)
• Excellent communication, lobbying and active listening skills
• Integrity and morality
• Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a reporter
• Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
• Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
• Positive attitude, detail oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
• Proficient in the English, Dutch and Arabic language, both written and spoken.
• Education = Bachelor’s Degree in Media or any other relative field.
