Test & Verification Engineer (Philips Beauty)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration of Project: 1 year

Location: Drachten

Hybrid working: 3 days in office 2 days at home

Join our team and play a pivotal role in verifying groundbreaking products! As a Verification Engineer, you'll spearhead the execution of verification activities, ensuring the integrity of our innovative consumer goods. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining reproducible test methods, coordinating tests and measurements, and analyzing data to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop reproducible and maintainable test methods, encompassing electronic testing for elements, subsystem integration, and functional and non-functional tests, aligned with design specifications.
  • Collaborate with development leads to craft efficient test designs considering feasibility factors such as cost, timing, quality, and location.
  • Support the product development process by providing engineering concepts and driving them to functional prototypes.
  • Coordinate, execute, and report tests and measurements, while analyzing and post-processing measurement data using statistical techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and relevant regulations/standards for medical devices (e.g., ISO 13485, 21CR820, GDP) by providing technical documentation.
  • Lead problem-solving activities to identify root causes and contribute to functional continuous improvement plans and knowledge bases.
  • Mentor and support team members in test methods and equipment, fostering effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.

Your Background:

  • Technical background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in R&D, with a solid understanding of the design verification process.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical test laboratories, including designing, documenting, and executing test methods.
  • Proficiency in MSA methodology/test method validation and statistical techniques.
  • Experience in creating high-quality technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive, fast-learning mindset.
  • Familiarity with tools like Windchill and Minitab is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of mechanical construction design and mass manufacturability aspects is a plus.
  • Experience with CFD analysis, FEA (Ansys), and/or other analytical software is advantageous.
  • Understanding of medical device development processes and testing standards (ISO 13485, 21CFR820).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Flexible and practical, with a hands-on approach and the ability to delegate tasks when necessary.
