Our growing Corporate Financial Accounting & Reporting Europe team is seeking for a proactive and hands-on team player to take a General Ledger Accountant position in Hoofddorp.

Reporting to the Finance manager, the GL Accountant will be responsible for the complete finance management (US GAAP reporting and tax compliance, VAT returns, Statutory compliance including liaison with our external service providers and auditors, and so on) of some of our corporate entities within NL and other EU countries (currently 11 legal entities in 5 jurisdictions) and looking for ways to continuously improve financial accounting & reporting processes.

This position has a good mix of monthly “operational work” and challenging (improvement) projects in a dynamic and international environment of a US listed company. You will be working in a small local finance team (currently existing of 3 people) but closely working together with your colleagues abroad.

Professional skills

•    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar discipline;
•    2+ years of general ledger accounting experience;
•    Working experience in the finance department of a (large) multinational organization;
•    Knowledge of Dutch GAAP and / or US GAAP;
•    ERP system experience, preferably SAP, with a focus on Finance module;
•    Excellent Excel knowledge;
•    Strong communication in English and preferable Dutch.

Gevraagd

•    Monthly closing process in accordance with Group Financial policies & procedures (US GAAP), requirements and timelines, involving fixed assets, accruals, royalties, interest, intercompany recharges and so on;
•    Monthly OneStream reconciliations;
•    VAT reporting (VAT returns, EC sales listings);
•    Assisting the finance manager with the preparation of the tax reporting packages;
•    Preparation of the statutory financial statements, US GAAP to local GAAP bridge and balance sheet files and liaison with the external auditors (if applicable);
•    Assisting the finance manager with the preparation of the corporate income tax return and related tax questionnaires and so on;
•    Assisting the finance manager - together with the other GL Accountant and Accounting assistant - with ad-hoc finance and operational projects and tasks.

•    Monthly salary between €3.500 and €4.500 including 8% holiday allowance;
•    Participation in the Littelfuse pension (DC at Aegon), with a personal contribution of 3% of the pension basis;
