The Account Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in the organisation by managing the accounts payable process and ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Description

• Process accounts payable transactions, including matching invoices to purchase orders, verifying accuracy, and entering data into the accounting system;
• Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy of accounts payable records;
• Handle inquiries from vendors regarding payment status and resolve any discrepancies;
• Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs, ensuring compliance with payment terms and company policies;
• Collaborate with internal departments, such as purchasing and receiving, to resolve any invoicing or payment-related issues;
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts payable balances and preparing accruals.
• Maintain organised and up-to-date accounts payable files and documentation;
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable function.

Job Offer

• Between €2500,- and €3000,- based on fulltime;
• A nice job in an informal environment for 32 to 40 hours per week;
• Holiday allowance of 8.33%;
• A lot of own responsibility;

Gevraagd

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
* Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
* You live in the Netherlands and are in the possession of a BSN-number.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
