Role Description
As the Process & Quality Technology Manager , you will be overseeing both the Process Technology and Quality Control departments. You are an integral part of the Plant Management Team, actively contributing to shaping the long-term strategy of the site. Your role involves crafting action plans, setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), making necessary adjustments, and fostering the growth of your teams.
 
Responsibilities
-Department Management: Lead Process Technology and Quality Control (QC) teams, ensuring alignment with global technological changes and meeting departmental objectives and standards.
-Process Improvement: Initiate and oversee improvement projects, identifying potential enhancements based on established agendas like WCOM.
-Leadership and People Management: Lead, coach, and develop team members, ensuring optimal staffing levels and actively engaging in decision-making processes while guiding the team through changes.
-Project Management: Lead local project teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting projects as a stakeholder.
-Operations Management Team Role: Contribute to Site Meppel’s strategy and objectives, aligning with the overall goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
-Collaboration with Other Departments: Serve as a key link between departments such as R&D and Engineering, prioritizing innovation projects and providing necessary resources.
 
Requirements
-Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (preferably food technology)
-7+ years of experience in the process industry in food or Pharmaceuticals
-Skilled in Operational Excellence
-Lean 6 sigma is a strong plus
-Leadership experience(leading a team, setting KPIs etc.)
-Fluency in English and Dutch is required
