Do you have experience in designing and implementing electrical systems for diverse projects, from offshore platforms to HDVC converter substations?

For one of our clients providing offshore and energy solutions, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to design, implement, and maintain electrical systems for a diverse range of offshore and energy projects. You will ensure the efficient and reliable operation of platforms, FPSOs, HVDC converter substations, and other complex installations in the offshore and energy sectors.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the detailed engineering of greenfield low-voltage power distribution systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Contribute to the design of electrical systems for offshore platforms.
• Play a key role in the design of high-voltage substations, ensuring their efficiency and reliability. 
• Prepare specifications, TBE, and attend FAT for electrical LV systems like MCC, switchgear, and UPS systems. 
• Conduct electrical system studies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Apply knowledge and expertise in MV and HV power distribution systems.
• Design and oversee LV distribution systems, including LV switchgear, UPS systems, and distribution boards.
• Prepare detailed design deliverables such as cable lists, LV distribution block diagrams, small power/lighting/earthing layouts, termination diagrams, installation typical hookups, and mounting typicals.
• Ensure adherence to relevant electrical codes and standards, including IEC, ANSI, IEEE, ISO, NFPA, NEMA, API, etc.
• Utilise software tools such as ETAP, E3D, and Smart Plant Instrumentation for effective electrical engineering tasks.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience working for an engineering company.
• At least 4 years of specific experience in the position of Electrica Engineer. 
• Proven experience in greenfield low-voltage power distribution detailed engineering.
• Expertise in offshore platform design and HV substations design.
• Hands-on experience in preparing specifications, TBE, and attending FAT meetings for electrical LV systems, including MCC, switchgear, UPS systems, and LV distribution boards.
• Proficient in conducting Electrical System Studies.
• Knowledgeable about MV and HV power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with LV distribution systems, including LV switchgear, and LV distribution boards.
• Proficient in preparing a range of electrical detailed deliverables, such as cable lists, LV distribution block diagrams, small power/lighting/earthing layouts, termination diagrams, installation typical hookups, and mounting typicals.
• Conversant with National and International electrical codes, including IEC, ANSI, IEEE, ISO, NFPA, NEMA, API, etc.
• Familiar with engineering software tools, including ETAP, E3D, and Smart Plant Instrumentation.
